This Privacy Policy explains how Open Table, the public facing brand of Open Table Consulting (“Open Table”, “we”, “us”), collects, uses and protects personal information when you visit this website, contact us, request a consultation or subscribe to our newsletter.

Who we are

Open Table is a founder led market entry advisory for Vietnam and Southeast Asia. For any question about this policy or your personal information, write to hunter@opentableadvisory.com.

Information we collect

We only collect what you choose to send us and the basic technical information needed to run a secure website:

Consultation and contact forms: your name, email address and, where you provide them, your company, phone number, headquarters country, markets of interest, where you are in your plans and your message.
Newsletter: your email address.
Emails you send us: the content of your email and your contact details.
Technical information: your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, recorded by our hosting server and by our spam protection service when a form is sent.

We do not use advertising or analytics tracking on this website, and we do not ask for sensitive information such as health, financial or identity documents through the website.

How we use your information

To reply to your enquiry, arrange and prepare a consultation, and follow up on it.
To send you our newsletter, if you subscribed. Every issue includes a way to unsubscribe.
To send you a copy of what you submitted, so you have a record of it.
To keep the website secure and to block spam and automated abuse.
To meet our legal, accounting and tax obligations where an engagement follows.

We use your information because you asked us to (for example by sending a form), because you consented (for the newsletter), because it is necessary to prepare or carry out an engagement with you, or because we have a legitimate interest in running and protecting our business. We never sell your personal information and we do not use it for automated decisions about you.

Who we share it with

Your information is seen by the founder and, where needed for your engagement, by the people directly supporting it. We also rely on a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf:

Website hosting, which stores the website and the messages sent through it.
Email delivery, which sends form notifications and confirmation emails.
Google reCAPTCHA, which checks that forms are sent by people and not by automated programs. Google receives technical information about your visit for this purpose under its own privacy policy.
Google Fonts, which delivers the typeface used on the website and therefore receives your IP address.

When we introduce you to a partner, distributor or specialist, we only share your details with your agreement and only what the introduction needs. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

International transfers

We work from Vietnam and our service providers may store or process information in other countries. Where information is transferred, we rely on providers that apply appropriate safeguards to protect it.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries and consultation requests for as long as we need them to respond and follow up, and for up to 24 months afterwards unless an engagement follows. Engagement records are kept for as long as required by accounting and tax rules. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. When information is no longer needed, we delete it.

Cookies

This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. Pages with a form load Google reCAPTCHA, which may set cookies needed for its security check. If you log in to the website administration, WordPress sets cookies that keep you logged in. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; forms may not work without the reCAPTCHA cookies.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to access the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to how we use it, or to receive a copy of it. Where we rely on your consent, such as for the newsletter, you can withdraw it at any time. To make a request, write to hunter@opentableadvisory.com. We will reply within 30 days. You may also contact the data protection authority where you live.

How we protect it

The website uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS), access to our systems is limited to the people who need it, and our service providers are chosen for their security practices. No system is completely secure, so please avoid sending us highly sensitive information through the website.

Children

Our services are for businesses. This website is not intended for children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our services or the law change. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.
